For a title as hotly-anticipated as Final Fantasy VII Remake, there are only two slots it can fill for an E3 presentation; batting leadoff or wrapping things up. Square-Enix chose the former, and presented quite the smorgasbord of information.

So much information, in fact, that I don’t have enough time currently to devote a full article to it. However, you can check out the trailer below to see some things for yourself.

Between the game’s new visual style and revamped real-time combat system, Final Fantasy VII Remake is shaping up to be quite an undertaking, but one that fans both old and new should come to enjoy. With Kingdom Hearts III completed, Final Fantasy VII Remake is Square-Enix’s next big title, and it’s certainly being treated as such.

Be sure to stay tuned to Geekpiphany for my reaction to Final Fantasy VII Remake’s E3 showing, as well as the rest of Square-Enix’s generally strong presentation, including the announcement of a next-generation remaster of Final Fantasy VIII and the in-depth reveal of Marvel’s Avengers, developed by Crystal Dynamics and Eidos Montreal.
